Keeping Your LCD On the Wall
One thing that every LCD television owner prides themselves on is the excellent picture quality that they receive. However, nothing can be worse then having this excellent screen that you are unable to see. The best was to solve this dilemma is to mount your television on the wall instead of utilizing an old fashion TV stand, or something of that nature. By mounting your television on the wall you are saving space, have the ability to place the television at eye level and are making your fantastic television the focal point of your entertainment viewing room.
You will need to purchase a strong set of LCD brackets, in order to successfully mount your television onto the wall. The brackets come in a variety of sizes to accommodate the various size TVs available so it is important to purchase the correct one, otherwise your television will fall off the wall and come crashing down. When purchasing your brackets, in order to purchase the correct type, you will need to take into consideration the width, length and weight of your LCD television.
LCD brackets are sold in various types and with various features. Some brackets are adjustable and give you the ability to tilt or swivel the television if needed, others attach the television to an arm that can then be moved into numerous position. There are also brackets that mount the television directly to the wall, although this does not allow for much adjustments, it is a sturdy hold and adds extra stability for your television.
You also want to make sure that the wall you decide to hang your television on will be able to withstand the weight, otherwise you are risking damage to both the television and the wall. When purchasing your LCD brackets, you will also want to check the mounting instructions, as well, since some require you to mount directly into a stud, while other require mounting into a wood or cinder block wall.
The last, and to just as important, aspect to mounting your LCD is hiding all the cables that attach to the television itself. Many people don’t mind leaving them hanging around in a mess, and some even try to make them look neat and organized. Either way, I still find them to be a distraction while I am trying to enjoy television. There are products available that also mount to the wall and enable you to keep all those annoying cables out of sight, thus allowing full focus on your television and it crisp, perfection picture!
